The urn is made from black walnut, with box joints cut on the table saw. I raised the panels for the lid, and bottom on the router table.

The engraving/cross were done on the shopbot, and drawn in V-Carve.

Finish is spray poly from a rattle can.

The cross was done with 3 separate tool paths. The cross itself was carved with a 60 degree B bit, prism tool path. Then the recess was out lined with a 60 degree v-bit, on a v- carve path. The pocket was cut with a .25 endmill, pocketing toolpath set to raster with the grain.

The name is partially obscured for the privacy of the family.

Left the photography to a professional for this one.

Looks like a very nice piece Michael.

By the way, can anyone offer a suggestion as to why I can't seem to enlarge a picture? I click on the jpeg and my screen just goes very dark black but somewhat translucent. I can still see the image of what's behind. I can click on the back button and the screen returns to normal. Thanks in advance!
