Here is a sample of what I can do with the shopbot Indexer.
Most of these I have sample turnings of so I just probed them on the Indexer along the Y axis.
Then open in Autocad and flip them in 3d from z to y and rotate to run along the x axis.
I trace them in autocad to clean them up and save.
I open them in Aspire and set thickness to .125 and toolpath them still in the x direction. Save using only ( inch .sbp)
Open shopbot indexer program and pick (carve the blank to a shape using a profile )
Fill in the blanks and save
First it wants new indexer file name then you pick your profile cutout.
It then takes the profile file and rotates it from x to Y for me and turns it like a lathe turning.
I know this is very vague sorry.
Here are a few pictures
I try to turn everything using a 1/2in ballnose then use old lathe to sharpen the turning up.
This takes less time then changing bits and returning on shopbot.
