I did a little 2D indexer cutting earlier this week. I learned that PVC pipe is not perfectly round...aside from this, cuts went off without a hitch. I plan to do aluminum at some point after I beef things up. Joints are close enough to MIG or TIG, especially if the AL is actually round (which it should be).

I've got some of the bugs worked out that I had with my 'head' project. This is a customer's 45° corner cabriole leg that I rotary laser scanned and cut today 1/2 scale. I'm very pleased with the results. Carved with 1/8" ball. Could use a 1/16" to get all of the detail out of it at this scale. Pics don't do it justice...It is *perfect*!

Yep - it's hard to keep up with the quality work you see on this forum.

That first leg there is amazing; how much sanding is it on it? It seems almost perfect (and yeah, I know how badly lit pics tend to be forgiving, but it still looks wholly amazing).
