I didn't download it yet.
Do I read it correctly that you can now do a flip op before you cut out the pieces? You need to flip the whole sheet over?
I have trouble loading sheets, I don't think I want to flip one over.
If I had any business I would build that overhead suction crane that I have needed for years.

Roger;

There was a guy who did one years ago with a vac bag motor, rubber tubing, and a pot lid-Yes-a pot lid from his wife's kitchen-seemed like it gave a great seal and had enough airspace and width to handle whole sheets and his work was all MDF. Frank Leinbach-Hasn't posted in a long while. Here is the original thread:

That is the lift I have been wanting to build for a while now.
That sure would save my back.
Using something like it would be the only way I would want to flip a whole sheet.

Roger...
I looked over the setup for the FlipOps First after I installed the new version. I looks really good to me. Nat did the beta testing and gave it good reviews.

Looks like it will be a good match for these: http://www.shopbotblog.com/index.php/2010/06/table-index-revisited/ (lastest column)

Since I'm an Ol fart like you, I am going to build a similar hoist to Franks, but on an overhead track in the near future. Who wants one?

If only I didn't have the overhead door tracks in the way, I'd love to have one. My Hafele panel cart actually does a decent job of getting sheets from point A to B. Hoist would be ideal, though...

I've been thinking of making a vacuum lift, so would be interested in what you come up with.
