Thought you might like to see a floor panel with a grizzly head carving.
This is 22wide X 19.5in high and 1inch thick. Panel is Birds Eye Maple, with a hard maple insert, then the grizzly is carved 3/8" deep into the hard maple. I made a 1/4" round over edge around the insert, to help keep any tripping down. This panel is the final touch to this Marine named "Griz", dream log home. He will be coming home in a few months from Afganistan and retiring in this home. This goes in a spot at the bottom of his stair case.
