Anyone aware of a link or have a recommendation on the best bit (I hear the DLC bits are very good), feed and speed for Trupan?

Trupan cuts like butter with a regular 2-flute end mill or straight. You do not need DLC coated bits. Try cutting a sample with a 2-flute tool at 15,000 RPM and MS,2,1 as a baseline. Increase move speed and/or RPM as needed.

I'll give those settings a try. While we are on the Trupan subject, anyone know of a link or have recommendations on dying or staining? I'm interested in black. What is the best practice using stain or dye, apply using spraying, brush, roller, priming, sanding, coating, finish coating, supplier, etc.? Another thought also, has anyone tried sublimation or some type of paper that adheres to the Trupan and takes the place of finishing? Oh and when is ShopBot going to create a finishing Bot for us, I'd be willing to break into my kids piggy banks for that one!
