I need a little help here. I need to make some rolling easels for a sign job that is comming in early next week. Three HDU signs 4' x 8'. Does anybody have pictures of something they are using that you would share? I have something in mind but wanted to see if anything else was working for someone before I made the trip to the lumber yard. Thanks, James

Morris Dovey's post today under the topic "Appleply Plywood Cutting" shows a great tilting table that would work as a rolling easel.

Thanks Don, It looks like exactly what I need to build three of, maybe not quite as wide though. James

James - in my search for useable work surfaces I came across a neat material cart that may just work for your purpose. Russ

James, I built this rolling and tilting table that works great for me. The table measures 4 X 8 and has a linear actuator for the tilt. It is made from 1" sq. x 1/8 tubing. You can get the linear actuaters from lift chairs next to the dumpster at your local nursing home.

“next to the dumpster at your local nursing home” I love that!

This is a 2-sided panel cart I did when dry walling my shop. It should come in handy when the shop is done also.

Thanks everyone. I knew there were ideas that I had not come up with yet. I will post pictures of what I build from these ideas. My only condern is it has to fit through a 36" door into the finishing room. I like the tilting table that Bryson shows, narrow enough to go through a door and a top wide enough to support the sign flat for the base color.

After a delay with material delivery and a week with the flu, I am finally getting to post the pictures of the easels. They are going to make life alot easier in the shop. 30" wide base, 48" across the top and 8' long.
