My wife & I use our Shopbot to manufacture items for our small garden railroading business. When things slow down, my mind wanders to fun things. This one was inspired by "The Forum".

Fantastic, but you can't just post that and leave us wondering! Give us all the details. You must have been inspired by Chris and his door and this:

Tell us all the details on how you made this...good job!

You are exactly right about my sources! But I think my machine is more useless and more expensive than the other guy's. I used .090 brass, cherry wood, 2 12V gearhead motors, a model train transformer for power & a gear box out of a copy machine. Warning: children & grandchildren don't seem to understand the concept!

you have any more pictures and details? Be more specific for us dunderheads! I am not good at small electronics and soldering, circuits, ect, how hard was this to put together electronically?

Any pictures of the various stages of construction/wiring? Details man details! lol:D

Love it! The irony of something so beautiful with an attitude inside!
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the nice comments. Sorry Jack, I don't have any progress photos. For those who want to see more, here are a couple of photos of my prototype for the lens (featuring grandkid #7) and a few of the back and side of the finished box.
