I am looking at cutting corian for a project. I am looking for some help.

Can corian be glued together? If so, how?

Any advice when cutting?

I have a 2.2 hp spindle.

I tend to use Onsrud bits.

Corian has it's own epoxy based adhesive. I suggest you get hold of a supplier in your area. Since this is a school project you may find them quite helpful. Onsrud has a series of 1/4" single flute O-flute straight bits that are ideal for cutting Corian. You want to use a 10% ramp in to your part, cut it in two passes plus a skin for the final pass, rotate your spindle around 8K, cut at 1.5 or so IPS and stepdown at .25ips. This is a good place to start given that we don't know exactly what type of cutting you want to do or the size of your parts.

Dave,

Thank you. That is a good place to start. I am going to try to get a hold of piece of scrap to practice on.

Thanks again,

Greg

i did slow everything down based on the rec's and even used a 60 degree v-bit. It came out fine or as fine as this country boy can make it. it was made from counter top cut out scraps
