I just installed the shopbot relay board and spindle speed control on my PRS standard and really like how it works. Now I am thinking of putting a relay on my old PR with a 4g controller and PC router but don't want or need a 5 relay board. Is there a cheaper board that would work on this unit. I don't want to spend to much as this unit is only for backup and play.

I'm using several of this company's breakout boards, including the one that runs my ShopBot with Gecko drives and Mach3.

shopbot had a very simple circuit on their site to make your own relay. I did it and it works great. Rat shack parts. I used the second set of contacts on the relay to start ny dust recovery system each time the spindle starts.

I love that we all call it "Rat Shack" and that we mean it in the best of ways [grin]

Here is a version of what Tom mentioned. Its from my 2002 ShopBot User Guide. Don't know if a more recent version was ever made available. A few years ago I checked and they had removed it from the User Guide.
