this is nothing thrilling though I had to work on the finish and it is still only so so. I need a good thick spray primer that I can sand well.
but the story was the fun part. one of my sign customers needed me to make this and was going to stick metal vinyl on it. but I told him it woudl be hard to get all 4 sides does well with all of the curves. He also asked me the cost of cutting this out of solid aluminum (this is 36" long and 2" thick the bill would be 450.00)
But nike was being very low budget on this and they would pay me little and decided to cut the job because of cost. So I made this Well one in metallic aluminum) and showed my customer of course then Nike wanted it but only could pay about 1/3 the cost. I found out it will be ok a Nike table related to the Olympics So I gave it too them and made another one.
