I bought a used ShopBot and it arrived missing a wheel for the x-axis. I've checked the local hardware stores and they don't carry anything like it. naturally, it's a holiday weekend and nobody's at the shop. does anyone know of a source for the wheels in the Trenton/Phil. area?

The wheels were originally the same wheels that you can buy as replacements for patio sliding doors. Check out that department at any major hardware store.

David,

Those wheel (the V-grove) wheels are not a "stock"
item for any hardware store. They _MIGHT_ (really
slim chance) carry them at a local bearing supply
house. They are manufactured by a company called
Bishop-Wisecarver and are a true linear motion
"bearing".

Looks like you will have to call ShopBot on Monday
and have them mail/ship you your missing one.

Yes, it "bites" not being about to run your
machine when you have the time, but Shopbot is
VERY good about getting replacement parts to you
ASAP.

Wish I had better news for you.

Try a search on the web for "Dualvee", or Bishop-Wisecarver. They do have a web site, and it lists local reps and distributors. I've got it bookmarked on my office computer--but I'm not there...
