but the desktop is quite new ,so do you have to request a post processor update

Post Processors are all included with Aspire. You just need to use the right one for ShopBot when saving out toolpaths. Likely to be one of two depending on whether or not you have a spindle.

It uses the same control software as all the latest shopbots so the PP is the same.
