One of my sons got married a few weeks ago - the couple asked that I make them a box to put on the "present" table for people to place envelopes in....I have some spalted maple with lots of wood borer holes hanging around for 25 years that came off my property here in NH and some from my mother's home...thought it would be appropriate to use it for this special day...they had no idea what it would look like - I choose the Paradise Box from the Vectric projects and decided to engrave the inside of the lid with a Bible verse and the bottom with a description of where the wood came from. It was finished with 6 coats of Minwax's Spar Urethane.
