I would love to be able to set up a live stream on making products, however I do not know how to do so, and I do not have a phone line in the cnc room. would need a remote camera that could send image to my computer that I do have internet on.
I could teach a very good class on production runs.

i could probably help with set up if you have some older android phones they are great for ip cameras.

PM me if you would like some other input or what you might be able to make work.

thanks for the input!!

I did not grow up with a computer, I have seen the computer go from taking up a whole room to what I use today. I got my first pc when I bought my laser, I had to be taught how to save a file \. I am 60 years old and too old to learn to many more things. I grew up drawing, and have learned how to draw on the computer, but even hooking up what most call simple things is a task for me.

I don't do a lot of cutting, I mostly make CNC type stuff. Both routers are built like a shopbot and the one on the left started out as a Shopbot but I did a lot of mod's to it.

The live feed worked for me - using Firefox and the browser built in viewer.

Man that looks like one tall Z clearance, unless it's just the camera angle.

Was that PVC you were cutting? Do you find that it stinks when you cut it? No matter how I change my cutting strategy or bits, the PVC I get all has a foul odor when cut.

Curious why you have the grooves in the spoilboard - is it to line up jigs or something else?

Jim McGrew in columbia SC uses them in his shop . It recorded a trash can ignite hours after cleaning up a spill of lindseed oil soaked saw dust . He posted the video on you tube and Thank the Lord his whole shop did not go up in smoke , A very important lesson about safety and dropcams.

Dropcam is the way to go, we have one for security and general peeping :D my business partner and I can also easily communicate because they utilize a 2 way mic system so he doesn't miss out on any crucial decisions or just cool cut files. The delay is only 1-2 seconds and has a crazy sensitive microphone. We have the Dropcam Pro and it is true 1080, 130degree lens, 30 frames per second (fps) and 8x digital zoom. Uses infrared for night vision which works really great. Once we get more work started we'll be making ours Public. Can pop it up remotely on my smartphone at anytime to make sure my baby is sleeping well :) Check them out Botters...

Sorry for the delayed response. We purchased it off of their website, www.dropcam.com (http://www.dropcam.com) . It was either $149.95 or $199.95, we went with the $199.95 because we were already investing and decided it was worth $50 for higher resolution. Once we get going we are going to make ours "Public" it's awesome and they have a huge growing community and you can watch cameras at gas stations, pet daycare, gyms, karate studios, college 3D printer labs and many more. Real cool, you should look into it, that is also a one-time investment, you only pay $10 per month if you want to record and save your footage (DVR). Do it ;)
