Will a Donek drag knife work with the Desktop?

I'm worried about the z height, I'd need to fit in a vaccum table, leather and the bit which looks pretty long from the photos. Has anyone had success using one on this little machine?

Looking at that more though, it's still nerve rackingly close to the knife, assuming it's sitting at the full height. I wonder if you can further shrink the height of the air chamber without affecting the airflow.
