I have recent searched for shopbot dovetail and found a lot of stuff that looks like it is for the PRSAlpha and the like; but it doesn't seem like it will work for the shopbot desktop. I don't think that end-cutting a board is much of an option for the Desktop. My main goal is to make a sturdy box (bottom and sides) as a part of a small decorative box. I even considered just milling the box out of solid material; but that would be sort of wasteful.

Thoughts or pointers?

Thanks

Chaz have look at the Vectric Monthly Project on a lovely box using a new style of box joint invented by Michael Tyler. I have made ten of these using poplar and Amoora and finished in de-waxed shellac. They look absolutely stunning! Ideal sized project for the Desktop.

I took a look at the picture and I see how it is going together. I think with a little more effort, we could have the Secret Mitred Dovetail. I'll work on it a bit.
