Z axis extension?

Hi I not sure if this is in the right place or not but
I need to extend the Z-axis distance from the table on my PRS-Standard (Shopbot buddy)

Is it possible to extend the 2 pieces in the picture with the red arrow on it to make more room between the bar marked with the blue arrow and the table?

if not is there a way to do this?

You can raise the side extrusions, but the Z will not have enough stroke to go all the way down to the table. Call ShopBot and ask about their 12" Z option. It includes table sides and a Z axis with 12" stroke.

well I found out today that Shopbot does not make one for my machine so if I do extend it I will have to do it another way.

I bought Bob's extended Buddy and was very impressed with how he'd done it. Hey, maybe you can hire him to do yours :)

sorry fir just getting back to this post been busy at work, I need to add around 6 inches to it, ill look into bob dodd suggestion. I need to extend it for the 4th axis indexer so I can cut a larger diameter part with it.
