I searched the forum for "plaques wholesale" and came up empty.

Where can I purchase blank wood (or otherwise) plaques for sign making?

Many thanks

What size blanks are you looking for, what kind of wood?

Various sizes and styles. Wood HDU or other.

change your search to unfinished wood sign plaques.
you will find folks like yourself and others who make from assorted materials with and without finishes.
probably many other combinations of words but there are many many out there including e-bay stores.
Or you could make and market them as well.

I'm looking for 8 to 15 inch tall plaques of various shapes that I can just add whatever the customer wants and sell retail.

Let me take a look at everything.

Thanks

Why don't you want to make them as you need them? Paying to have them shipped to you and trying to fit text to an already cut blank seems counter-productive when you have the perfect machine to do them yourself. Just curious.

All the better reason to have the bot cut them out for you

Magic,
Here you are; I have used their stuff for awhile. You can't build them in your shop to this quality unless you are totally jigged up for the process. Good prices, very nice plaques...However "plaques"are usually pretty small for signmaking (unless of course you're making smaller signs...).

It's not the cutting out, it's the sanding and painting and sanding and painting. I never know when to quit. I usually over finish until it looks like a mirror. So the truth is that I'm not lazy at all but quite the opposite..... if I could get them already finished then maybe I COULD be lazy........ for once.

magic, we bid a job last month to make some plaques for a local sign shop. They were able to get them from a mail order place for less than half of our price! For standard sizes it makes sense to just buy them pre-made. So we made up our losses on the custom sizes they needed

Gabe. How were their prices to do the engraving compared to what we need to charge?
