Wednesday October 29th 1:00-3:00pm EDT

Creating text in our files can be really simple but with the capabilities of the Vectric software and your ShopBot one can create some amazing layouts. You can add any font you want to the software, text can be wrapped to different curves; letters can be spaced apart and inlayed. We will also look at different bits for cutting text and tips on toolpathing.

If you are not able to join the training do not worry, it will be recorded and posted on our website and on Youtube. Hope to see you all on Wednesday!

I was just wondering if this training video is going to be posted. I always learn something new from them.

Jeez Teach, I think I only missed this one 'cause I was trying to finish some stuff for Saturday's Camp so it didn't look like my "normal" almost finished stuff:)
Your inlay section gave me the "kick in the butt" I needed to try a regular inlay and see what my times will be. Certainly be easier(famous last words) to clamp.
Will .005" offset work for 3" Maple font into Black Walnut do you think for a good starting point? Probably .25" deep and trying for like a Zero glue line-Probably try CA for proto and then TB Translucent first.

Here is the training that can be loaded to your computer: http://www.shopbottools.com/Training/Videos/TextTraining.wmv

That offset might be to tight on your desktop Scott! Might have to go .01. But try yours first.
