Happy holidays everyone! This weeks online training will cover basics of a ShopBot indexer. This is a 4th axis accessory that attaches to a ShopBot and allows material to be spun around and indexed at different locations.

This training will cover how to setup the ShopBot3 software as well as the Vectric software. Then we will run through a project from start to finish.

Please join us this Wednesday at 1:00pm EST

The training will be recorded and posted on our website for future viewings.

The training will last about an hour then the remaining hour will be left for questions, show and tell, etc.

Hi TJ
not sure what the lesson will cover but you might want to cover things like carving non symetrical objects like a rifle stock or odd shaped object instead of just a round column.
I know i get asked about that and carving things like a bust of a head and other non symetrical objects:D

Great idea for a training Jack...

However, this one is going to be basic, and we will build off from it as time goes on.

Thanks!!!

Been out for years! getting ready to do some legs for that kitchen island cherry i just bandsawed up. It's getting ready to head into the kiln. I just wish there was a way to preserve the beautiful read coloring:confused:

Jack,

I have used cherry for years and that beautiful color will return once it has been planed and finished. Cherry naturally darkens over the years and once sawed or planed will appear bland until you put on a finish, then it will slowly darken as time goes by... Hope that helps. This is the carcass of a triple cherry dresser I built years ago for my wife, of course I did finish it later just never took anymore pictures.
