After winning our state tournament, my daughter's 11-12 y.o. fastpitch softball team is representing WV at the Southeast Region Tournament this week in Georgia - facing teams from TN, GA, NC, SC, FL, VA, and AL. Tradition includes trading custom pins with the other teams. Two days prior to the tourney, my wife volunteered me to design and make 100 pins. I had some old corian scraps I pulled from a custom cabinet shop's trash pile. I designed the content in Aspire and cut 10-30 pieces at a time using my PRS Standard and some Dremel engraving bits. With some help from my kids, we delivered. Good stuff. Chris

thats slow work. I do business cards for myself and it takes 10 minutes a card. but it sure looks good. though I was carving and that took more time.

Thanks for kind words. Looking forward to doing more. And, anything to get my kids away from iPads/ computer games. Now, if I could just get one of them to learn (the free) OnShape CAD program.... Take care.

That is awesome Chris. I didn't know you could chuck up dremel bits into the ShopBot. So what do I need to get started besides the right sized collet? I have a PRSAlpha and a whole box of corian samples. Specifically what bits did you use and what speed, feed rate, and pass depth? Any info you can share would be greatly appreciated. Finally up and running with new shopbot and learning new stuff every day. Thanks.
