Good Morning All,

I'm not sure this is the right place for this post, but the maintenance section seemed appropriate.

I've attached a YouTube link of a short video showing what happens when I zero my x/y axes on my PRS Standard ShopBot. As you can see, the initial movement to the stop on each axis is smooth, but when it backs up and repeats the process at the slower speed, the carriage rattles. It's done this since day one and I always thought it was normal, but someone at the Vectric User Group Meeting in Orlando in October 2016 says it isn't. Any thoughts?

Charlie...
The slower speed during the homing routine happens to hit one of the resonance bands for your motors. You can play around and change the speed slightly if you wish to reduce or eliminate it.

Thank you, Gary, I hadn't even thought about that. I initially didn't think it was an issue, but starting getting worried after the feedback I got. It's not that big a deal, but the sound is annoying so I may play around with the speeds a bit.

Regards,
Charlie
