Anyone try to log into Vectric lately? They don't remember my old username and they won't let me create a new login. They also won't answer my phone calls or email.
My concern is that if I upgrade to Aspire, there will be no support. Is the company going down?

Remember that Vectric is in the UK which means they are 8 hours later than you in Oregon. My guess is that you'll hear from them in the morning.

Bill, I took that into account. They must be 4 days behind, since that is when I first attempted contact. Just found out from a DNA test that I'm 65% English. I was hoping that would help.

Thanks for that Martin.
For some reason I can't get into the site on any of my 3 computers and tablet.

you need the email address that you use to create your account also a lot of Vectric emails go to your spam folder fer some reason

Uh, yes. I tried three email addresses, three different passwords over 4 days. Nothing in spam folders. Upon creating a new account I get an immediate "Customer not foundSorry, we couldn't find a known customer with that email address. If you have purchased software from us before then it is likely that we have the wrong email address for you. Please contact (http://support.vectric.com/) support to help us correct this."
Right, jolly good. Using rudimentary American logic (I know, redundant) it only follows that they would NOT find my account since it is a NEW account.
And the ultimate Catch 22, they won't return phone calls or email.

Richard,
You really got my attention, as I am considering upgrading to Aspire as well. I just logged in, no problems.
Question: Did you buy your Vectric product direct, or through Shopbot? In the process of inquiring on upgrade costs a couple weeks ago, SB redirected me to open a new portal with Vectric, as they evidently are no longer forcing Shopbot version to be serviced by Shopbot, as they had in the past. Might try a quick call or email to Shopbot - they had to verify my purchase and identity before setting up my access directly to a Vectric portal, which now exists for Shopbot version of VCPro.

I'm certain it's something simple...

I just found out the issue. I bought the machine and software used with 4 hours on it in 2009. Dianne told me that I had to have a 'transfer' of the software ownership to Vectric and charged me $50. A week later I tried to buy an upgrade from Vectric, but they had no idea who I was. After several attempts at contacting Dianne, it became such a hassle I gave up.
I just found out from the Shopbot folks that she never transferred the ownership. $50 circling the drain, now I get to pay full price if I want upgrades.

and ....... it wasn't Vectric's fault at all.......

Vectric's is at the top of the game for CNC software and provides great support. Been using their products for several years with ZERO issues.

ALSO.....I have to say that is TOTALLY unlike Dianne!!
She pulled our chestnuts out of the fire more than once by her prompt action and attention to detail on our 2 machines in different locations!
First time I've EVER heard a bad interaction with her!
Also Frank who took her place when she retired, was a GREAT person as well!!
Usually only "Above and Beyond" stories from Sales.
OP must have been an Outlier:(

Just couldn't keep quiet with my 2 cents.

It was confirmed by Buddy Warner, that yes, Dianne collected money and never followed through. Buddy has graciously attempted to contact Vectric sales and they still refuse to register my software in my name. I am not going to beg for something I paid for. Finished with Vectric.

Hello Richard,

This Is Mark from Vectric support.
I believe that you may have misread or misinterpreted our response to you.

What we asked you to send to us was the original email that ShopBot had sent to you, that contained your license details.
You replied that you had previously sent your license details, but as was mentioned in our reply,
i am afraid that those details were only partial details.
I would guess that Dianne may have transferred your license and sent you some new license details,
but that those details may not have been entered into your software.

I replied to you again earlier this morning, as I mentioned in that reply, if you could please supply the information
requested, we will be able to register your software for you.

I hope that this helps.

Cheers,

Mark.

As previously stated in both this forum and to you, sir, Dianne did not send me an email, she sent me a receipt for my payment...hard copy. That copy has no information about registration.

Here is proof, check out the date. Of course the software will still show the original owner's name, Dianne didn't follow up with an email, that was confirmed by Shopbot support. Your blatant unwillingness to accept these simple facts is astonishing. http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=32862&stc=1

Richard,

I suggest you do the following:

1. Drop the attitude. It's absolutely sabotaging your ability to get a simple thing done.
2. Start cooperating. Both Vectric and Diane are willing and able to help you if you just do what you're asked.
3. Think before firing off an inflammatory post. It really doesn't help to come off as an ignorant lout.
4. Read with understanding. No doubt this is entirely your fault.

So step back, relax, take a few deep breaths and start from the beginning. Call Diane on the phone and have a pleasant conversation. A couple of minutes of intelligent discussion will get this solve. This isn't rocket science. It's simple and done everyday.

1. This has been ongoing for 8 years.
2. I cooperated for 8 years.
3. I have thought about it for 8 years.
4. I have read with understanding for 8 years, apparently you haven't.
From what I understand Dianne has retired. I have been talking with Buddy Warner, a representative of Shopbot. He has been attempting to help me.
You would understand all this if you had read the post from the beginning and not decided to troll this conversation and act 'like an ignorant lout'.
You may help by not making a judgement call on something you have no understanding about or ability to solve.

Well, I suggest you stick with your "Done with Vectric" attitude and see just how far that gets you. Good luck pal. You're going to need it.

Hello Richard,

It is not a problem if you do not have an email from ShopBot
if you could please supply the information that I requested in my reply to your last email, we will be able to register your software for you.

I hope that this helps.
