I finally got a computer that will run Shopbot 3 correctly. (I upgraded from DOS) When I run the new control software I changed the unit values back to what Shopbot had sent me. I have the older PRT (2001) The default on the new control software is x=733.386, y=733.386, z=916.7324. My old settings (From Shobot was x=152.789, y=152.789, z=733.386.
My stepper motors are 7.2 GH 30T and 7.2 GH 25 TP.
Measurements are way off on both settings. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any help.

Butch,
Try 1222.31 for your X&Y and 1466.772 for your Z.

Brady, z seems like it works perfect but on x and y when I enter 1222.31 it gives me measurements of half, 48 inch table measures 24 inches on the program.

If you are only going 1/2 the distance, then double the value from 1222.31 to 2444.61 and see if that does the trick.

Brady I tried that it just made things worse. I give up on Shopbot 3 It has so many more functions than DOS but I went back to DOS and everything works perfect now. Thanks for all the help you gave me I sure appreciated it.

Butch,
SB3's interface is a bit busier than SB2, but it's pretty much the same as SB2. You may want to try giving ShopBot a call before you totally give up on SB3. I can tell you right off the bat that the tool with move more smoothly, and at a higher rate of speed, especially when jogging. I went from 3 IPS to 5 IPS from just upgrading to SB3.
