Instead of this

4008

I'm getting this

4009

At a loss why I'm not getting the pointed corners. The bit is a 1/2" V, set at zero to the top of the material. Yes, I'm using scrap plywood until I get it right.

Richard...
Have you checked to verify that your bit is cutting at the exact angle that it designed to be? There are a good number of posts concerning this.

There was also an issue in PWks where a bit was named a "certain degree" but in the tool parameters was actually listed as a different number.

Check this out on the Vectric Forum: http://www.vectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2164

Are you sure your Z move is correct? Does a one inch move actually move it one inch?

How deep into the material did it cut and what was it supposed to cut?

Regardless of the bit angle, it should cut the depth you told it to.

If that is correct, I refer you back to Gary's suggestion.

Gary, you nailed it! The 'included angle' for this 90 degree bit was listed as 45 degrees.
