Alex,
You will need a CAM program such as MillWizard that is capable of generating 3D toolpaths. You cannot simply 'convert' the 3D file to an SBP with any degree of control over the toolpath.

Hi Alex!

Depending on the design, you can consider a numbers of other way to machine your guitar than from a 3D file... you still can use the 3D file for the mesurements though.

Alex,

Ask at your school if they have any CAM software or does your copy of proDesktop have and CAM plugins.

You can export your guitar model to a CAM Application and then create toolpaths. The CAM program will also have to have a PostProcessor specifically for the CNC machine that your school has.

Good Luck,
Brian
