4g, Beta Shopbot Software, and Vcarve toolpath

I upgraded to the beta version of shopbot software and running it on the prt 4g board. What is the difference between the alpha toolpath and the prt toolpath? I ran the alpha toolpath today and it actually worked but was wondering which one I should choose to get the best cut.

Are you talking about the post processor that you used in VCarve Pro? If so, the only difference is that the Alpha one has the SO,1,1 and SO,1,0 for turning the router/spindle on/off. Other than that, the movement code is the same.
