Some discoveries I've made when trying to get a file to export from Rhino and eventually to Shopbot.
I don't have a Shopbot but working with vendors that do to produce my parts. Getting them a file to work with that doesn't have a lot of open tool paths is not always easy.
Steps that worked pretty good: Export to AutoCAD as a .dwg. For each part that is supposed to be a closed "loop", try to:
Modify
-Object
--Polyline
When promted, select the part, then type "j" for join. If you get a message saying "You can't join a closed polyline" then that part should be good to go.
If not, try to change it to a polyline and join it with the other lines of that part. If they won't join, you have an open somewhere on that part and need to fix that.
