I have looked around but can't find many examples of finished 3d work done and crediting the "3D Grayscale Machining" tool that is part of Photo Vcarve.

I saw the 1 example of the leaf ornament on the Vectric website. If it works well, this seems like such a winner that I expect to find more examples and discussion about it.

Does anyone here have any experience with this feature? Any examples to show or limitations to comment on? Does it toolpath for a particularly slow final cut on the bot? What are the best size and parameters for the grayscale photo in order for it to work well? Any comments appreciated.

Thanks, John

Hi John,

There's a section on the Vectric Forum where PhotoVCarve users are posting the results of their grayscale modelling and machining work.

I hope this helps,
