What is the difference, and when do I use what ?

Note: I'm very new to shopbot.

Thanks in advance.

Marwan,

Machine Along Vector will cause the center of the bit to follow a line or contour; Profile will cause the edge of the bit to follow the contour. Typically you will draw the part you need to cut, then use Profile to compensate for the cutter diameter. Occasionally there is a need to have the bit follow the drawn line, and that is where Machine Along Vector comes in.
