Hi, I have a friend who brought me some files that he would like converted to use with another system. Now I know this is a shop bot forum but working with files in the real world sometimes calls for creativity. Any one know how to perform such a conversion? I would like to be able to export these files somehow and then import them into vcarve wizard.

Kimon,

There's a file converter built into the SB3 software under File/Conversions (FC). If the files are a v-carving type of file, you won't get a .dxf that represents the original drawing, but one that represents the vcarving toolpath. The resulting .dxf won't be of much use in VCarve Wizard if you even can open it. You can convert to G-code, but I believe you'll have to manually join them in a text editor.

If you would like, I can attempt to convert them in Vector also.

There is a SBP to G-code converter in the Project Wizard

Not familiar with Project Wizard?

There is no SB3 software packed with a Techno CNC. Doesn't Techo have a way to do this?
