Cutting file

Finally fired up Artcampro 2008
I made a simple 3D shape and saved the file. Then i opened sp3 and tried to cut the file but sb3 won't recognize it.

What do i need to do?

The file extension I saved is .plt

You have to save the toolpath in .sbp format, under Toolpaths menu. Use Shopbot(arcs)(inch)(.sbp), or mm if you use metric. Then open that SB part file from SB control program.

Thank you.... I'm rarin' to go... I've made 3 other complicated files and want to see them for real. One is a medallion One a twisty desk sign for my cousin the pattern maker and another is a giant coin... But first just this simple test to make sure I don't blow something up. I'll try it in a few hours.
