I was working on the idea that if we took a picutue that I made

4657

And turned it into a True Type Font we might be able to cut diffrent lines with other bits? to get a 3d effect, this might be faster using fonts then trying to use 3d programs? if anyone thinks this might work I might make a set.

I know from working with fonts that cut time is fast, and you can control the path, I always convert my work to fonts

This is ok but not a stand alone program? you will still need a Cadcam program to cut it,like Casmate, Enroute,Artcan and so on.

Fred Smith has a program called stlworks (?) at http://stlwork.com/. This program and the translator will give you 3d letters. Also you can translate a bmp and get a 3d file. I have downloaded the demos (full function for 30 days or 120 runs) but have not as yet had much of a chance to use them. There are pictures of some work on the site.
