45 is easy with a 90 degree v bit. but other angles you would either have to depend on the right angle of the bit or prop the piece up.

Has anyone made a jig to accommodate a board order to cut various angles an the edge of a board?

Ermino,

Not sure that this is EXACTLY what you are looking for, but thought it might give you an idea.

Those vices are on the right track.I might get a pair for solid work.
I need to cut angles on panel edges.I could do it on a table saw, but just wanted to know if anyone has cut them on a Bot.
I think a larger jig,similar to your vices,just larger,would work.

I've used a couple different solutions for this type of problem. In both cases I used the bot to construct it's own jig which then held the material at the proper angle and position. No hand measuring of any kind. The results were dead on.

Problem #1: A 1/8" thru cut into a beveled edge - nothing is perpendicular.

Problem #2: A very wide bevel in 1" ply. No pics of the jig - it was basically a ramp and I "surfaced" the bevel.

Rob

This is what I need to do.
Can you explain how you cut to wide bevels.
I would appreciate any help

I'm late to this discussion, but have photos of a jig I made for making angled cuts to the edges/ends of boards at www.iedu.com/DeSoto/Projects/Bevel/ (http://www.iedu.com/DeSoto/Projects/Bevel/)

Hope this helps!

Thanks Morris

This will work.It would need to be enlarged to accommodate larger panels.I like the flexibility
to adjust angles. Many of the angles I need are non
standard.
PS: You'll be hearing from me soon about your super zero.

Mark...

Thanks! It was part of one of those jobs (silverware trays with angled dividers) that proved that before you can do anything, you first have to do something else.

It's easy to machine, but a PIA to assemble. There're enough clues in the web page photos to build your own with 3/4" Baltic Birch, 1/4-20 anchor bolts, 1/4-20 knobs, and a bit of glue. I recommend using a digital level for set-up.

E-mail if you want one from me.
