I'm not comfortable with machining stainless since I've never done it, but I believe there are some machinists out there.

I need a trim piece for a kitchen. A cooktop replacement is about 1/8 - 1/4" too small for the existing cutout. Rather than replacing the counter top, I'm thinking of having a trim piece made. It would need to be about 30" long, 1/2" deep, and about 3/8" thick, with a satin finish, perhaps beveled around the top.

If you're intereted, email me. I will provide pictures of the area, in case you have a better idea, and exact dimensions.

Ron,
I wouldn't even attempt machining stainless on the Bot...Something like that would need to be done on a Bridgeport and even so...it's not easy to do.

I can cut out a profile on my Bot with the plasma cutter, but without a bevel.
