Looking for a better way to skin the cat, so to speak. Cutting diamond inlay pockets and running into the problem that while diamonds come to points, router bits are round (deep, huh?). Does anyone know of a better, cleaner, or automated method for cleaning up these inlay pockets?

Thanks!!!!

V-tipped router bits also come to a point - and if you move them correctly, they can give you inverted pyramid shaped holes.

Alternative, smack the diamond with a hammer - it will make the correct shaped hole, no?
