I am going to be doing a routed sign for my RC Club as a favor. I will be using Extira and have read the posts about the paint peeling and the different preps to help prevent this. My question is which masking method would you use? The majority of the sign will be routed with a 1/2" and 1/4" straight bit with a small section being V-carved. I am leaning towards using Joe's Snake Oil method. Is that the best for this type of sign or should I just use a regular paint mask and if so any particular brand? Here is a screen shot from V-Carve of the sign. Thanks for your help.
