Copy the font to this folder: C:\Program Files\VCarve Pro 4.xxx\Exec\fonts

Your specific folder will differ depending on the version that you are running...but you should have the general idea.

Paul,
VCarve Pro will use any true type font installed on your system. Just install the font as you would any other true type font into the standard windows font folder, and it should appear in the list when you restart VCP. The font directory Brady refrered to in the previous post is for internal font representations which are only used when reading DXF files.

Paul,

By loading your fonts in the Windows "Fonts" directory makes them available for use by all your graphics programs.

Programs like Corel, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and CAD, etc. will reach out to Windows Fonts and treat them just as though they are in the program itself.

Years ago there was a limit to the number of fonts Windows would manage without slowing down. Now I have keep between a thousand and two thousand active with no problem.

I would suggest you visit www.letterheadfonts.com (http://www.letterheadfonts.com) and visit their samples to get some excellent hints on font useage. This is a little known treasure in creativity.

Good luck,

Joe
