My sis-in-law wants me to cut out some shapes for a non-profit organization she is involved with. I think she wants to use corrugated plastic sign board like that used for temporary signs like yard sales and for sale signs. I think one brand name is Cor-Plastic. I suspect this stuff is usually die-cut or knifed. Does anyone know whether this stuff can be cut out with a router, and if so are there any tips for clean cuts?
Thanks for any help

Sharp bit, fast feed, slow router speed.

David, also experiment on the cut direction, I believe I found the conventional cut for outside of letters puts all the fuzz on the scrap and climb on the inside puts all the fuzz again on the scrap.

Jay,

You bring a point up on "Direction" - one should always look at their "Scrap" and see which side looks better. It might be if the scrap side looks better, you should be cutting in the other direction.

Ron, on plastic I have found this to be very much the case. Plastic will show tool marks far more readily than on wood.
Good luck David!
