I need to cut out some letters with a 1/4" starboard and I need to know what a good bit would be to use and since I don't have vacuum holddown, how would I keep the letters secure...Thanks, Jim

I've used a standard wood bit. for hold down, try double sided tape.

Use your software to lay out drill holes for you to mark the starboard. Then secure the corners , then running you hole file to drill the nessecary holes around the letters.
Then proceed to secure the sheet, and cut your letters.

Many thanks to all your tips! What about doing tabs for holddown? Any suggestions there?
