Entry door blanks

I'd like to try my hand at carving an entry door, but I haven't been able to locate a source for a suitable solid wood door. Does anyone know where I can get a carvable, possibly pre-hung entry door? Short of that, any tips on building a smooth surface wooden slab that would remain stable in an exterior application?

If the door you perchase has panels, one option to consider is the application of veneer's. This would inlay nicely with a contrasting material

Also there is the possability for 3D work.
