How think (or thin should I say) do you let your spoilboard get?

I've let mine get down to about a 1/4". I also have a 2 Fein system.

I start with 3/4" ultralight MDF and surface .02" off each side. I've found doing a .02 surfacing works well for me. Once the board get's down to 1/4"... maybe one shot less if I'm being lazy, it's time to replace it. I run twin feins.

My two feins arrived today and my prs alpha is due Tuesday I am picking up some 1/2 trupan monday and all my plumbing next week. With anyluck I will be cutting 4x8 sheets by the end of next week. I will let everyone know how things go and maybe post some picks. I'm in mpls, how much does elevation affect vaccum?

I got vacuum gage at auto store, it was only place I could find one, but, there were several to choose from. SO plan on adding that to your shopping list.

I had to get plumb Creek, I could not find any TRUPAN in or around Houston or Louisiana. CNC companies say this is what they are using. I do not know how well it is going to do though.

I've tried plumb creek, it does not make good spoilboard... especially when compared to ultralight. Around here, Atlanta Wood Products carries Ultralight MDF. Our local supplier that can get Trupan has yet to get Trupan so I've not had the opportunity to try that brand yet.

Robert,
I found a supplier on the south side (South of Atlanta) yesterday but it was closer to 35.00 a sheet. I'm going to compare it to the Atlanta Wood products Ultralite.
