I had posted a picture of a vcarve I completed in mdf a while ago and wanted to post a new picture of the same file done in solid wood. This is hanging in my kitchen now.
I started a blog where I have posted more pictures and comments.

Thats very nice. I've seen that design around. What kind of time did you spend on sanding this piece with all those small areas? The stain job looks great too.

Jack I think I was at a camp way back before I got my bot and someone had this carved in limestone. I took a picture of it because I was so impressed. However, I had to draw this from scratch in my new partworks, which was great practice. I spent an hour or so hand sanding. There was some slight burning in some areas so I decided to stain it. I sprayed the stain and 3 coats of laquer
This has inspired me to creat my own designs which I am doing now. I have cut some test pieces which I posted on my bloghttp://cabinetman-andresblog.blogspot.com/

Randall
I saw your web site just now and see that pattern.
Is this your design? The limestone carving I saw was awesome. I used it as guide to see if I could draw it my self, its not exact.

Randall, Great insperation!

Andre, I hadn't seen Randall's rendition before seeing yours but regaurdless I like the design. It looked good in limestone and MDF but it realy looks great in wood.

I opened this in partworks. with closer inspection, I noticed that I created my vectors a little differently than this one with slightly different shapes. At a glance they look the same but a closer look reveals the differences.
I am working on some original designs. I will post them when I cut them
Thanks for the link Randall.
