An interesting idea for you......

I saw a video of this guy creating a carving by hand....ok, then you see it painted...nice but nothing spectacular. But then based on the way he carved it with his gouges it created hilite marks that he then took an ink roller to to create the hilites. That made it cool. Then he took it a step farther and used that carving as a die-cast(?) to then print that design on T shirts. A cool idea. Seems like you could do it way faster by carving it on a cnc.

Hmmm...? I was just about to order a rubber stamp of our logo.
Maybe we can make a wood stamp of our logo?
I wonder how that would ink up and transfer to cloth, wood, etc?

Entirely possible....Haven't done, but would probably go a Very dense close pored wood with natural oils(Teak and such),or one of the plastics? (No knowledge of).

I seem to remember a few years ago the Donek drag knife guy made some kind of stencil or label maker for his snowboards and/or packaging that used some kind of inking process. You might try doing a search of his posts to get an idea of how he made it.

Battleship linoleum is a product to consider. It's a thick soft rubber product that is used in most art schools. Sold by "Dick Blick Art Supply"

Sugar Maple "Fuzzies" could be a problem, that with a stamp would be repeated, take the time to run toolpath twice. Makes a BIG difference sometimes!

(Anybody that thinks like me is in trouble) :)

thought it was easy enough to make a "stamp" out of wood - even inked it using a stamp pad. Flat wood works fine for small to medium. But for the larger sizes I found that cutting on a curve that allows you to ink by rocking left to right across the stamp pad and repeating when inking the paper or cloth helps transfer the ink on all of the pattern.

Block printing has been around for years using battleship linoleum.
