Modeling Humans
For those of you that model 3D human anatomy there is a great program called Make Human. It can model the human form very accuratly and export as a OBJ file for machineing,
The interface is very easy and best of all the program is free.
I am currently machining a face for a doornocker modeled on it.

I downloaded it but haven't installed it yet. Are these faces files that are within the program or can you input files of your own?

The program starts with a generic human.
You can then modify the face and body in just about any configuration you like. I found the interface simple and intuitive to use after just a few minutes.

Brian, I have downloaded and played. Its quite interesting BUT how did you convert the file to a cut file?
Looks like some wierd or unusual capacity here and I'm curious how to get it to a cut file.
Thanks

Jerry I save as an OBJ file then run It through a converting program to DXF to toolpath in RAMS gold my CAM program.
A good file converting program is http://quick3d.com
But some CAM programs can toolpath OBJ files directly.

Thanks. Ill keep that in mind as I haven't justified Vetrics #D yet but keep wondering when I will. Maybe this will push me in that direction. Do you suppose James Booth would create suitable files for these make Human models? HUMMM, I'll have to send him a note on that.
