XMas Gift for the wife
She always said I never made her anything nice on the CNC...........
The base is a 27" x 10" x 1.5" piece of Maple. The plexi is 1.5" thick. The litho's are .5" bone white corian.
I used the LED strips that can be found cheaply on Ebay and did some basic soldering. It was a fun project that took about 4 hours from start to finish.

Here are some pics of the litho process. I used a video I found on the Vectric forum to use Aspire to design the lithos.

The idea was that I can give her updated litho's every year with the latest school pics......

It worked out well, as I've spent A LOT of time figuring out cut speeds, directions, and such through the years.....
This forum and the Vectric forum have made me customers for life!

I have had good luck with lithophanes using High density polyethylene.

If you use white acrylic make sure it is cast and not extruded.
