Christian, thanks
funny you should ask how many bits were used. Only one
90 degree .5 vbit.
I broke it into a couple of tool paths just because. It took around 40 minutes to cut. I have 3-4 hours of design and tool pathing.
You were close on size it is more like 18 x 18

High quality preview that shows what the toolpaths will cut into the material
Realistic preview shading with realistic material types and optional fill color
Delete the waste material to leave the finish machined product
Save color shaded preview image for customer approval and quotes etc.
Quick Engrave
Automatic engraving / surface marking for panel work, nameplates and badges etc.
2D Toolpath Preview
Shows the toolpath as Wireframe with arrows for cutting direction
Solid color fill that shows what material will be removed – ie corner fillets left unmachined.
Recalculate all toolpaths - If the job position or size or a changes all toolpaths can be recalculated.

The only common specification for both PartWizard and PartWorks is that they only generate toolpath for ShopBot machine.
PartWorks is a major improvement from SB tool package.
PartWizard was pretty much only a teaser in my very humble opinion...

Andre,
Thanks for the info on the bit and time. Again nice work. Visited your site and I'm looking forward to see this kind of stuff in your work..should be great.

No Problem Christian
Thanks again. I am working on another, I will post it when its done.

Andre, that looks amazing.
Did you start with an existing image, or build that completely in PartWorks? I'm still stumped on how you make the angled 3D sides without using another program - Any Hints?
-
That is very nice Andre - You should write a tutorial about how you did it (GRIN!)

Ian, Neville,
I had a picture of something I really liked and I drew it completely free hand in partworks. I did not use the trace option because no 1, i wanted the practice of drawing, and the picture was not that good.
All the cuts were made with vcarve toolpath in partworks. There was a lot of node editing, centering, mirroring, off setting vectors, welding, copying, etc. The drawing took me 4-6 hours and I made 1 practice cut which at that point I went back and made some adjustments. Its amazing what you can do with basic geometric shapes.
Thank you for the compliments.
