Yes it is purple heart. For the bigger gap I was going to try closing it in on the end with a temporary piece and pouring clear epoxy to fill in that gap. Seen some interesting things done like that...

Just standard inlay. The crack was pretty big so I wanted to get deep enough to hold it together. The inlay is about 0.5". Those v inlays look great! really want to give it a try.

It was a brand new bit when I started the cut. Unless that one sheet dulled it half way through.

PRS 96x48 with a router attached. Would making shallow cuts be buidling up heat because only 1/8 of the bit is being used?
