Glen, I'm using a Dell Vostro Business tower, it has run perfectly for me. I have had the comm issue a couple of times but never while running a file.
I bought it directly from Dell for 299 and free...
Run the toolpaths again using a depth of .25" and use a flat area clearance toolpath as well. Try a few different V-bits and see if you like any of the results.
Glen,
I use Clearpath (a division of Romark) out of Ohio for some wayfinding jobs and they have my orders to me in 2-4 days. If Romark is as efficient they may be worth a try.
They sent me...
Nice looking sign Kevin.
I'm glad your shop isn't in Ontario! ;)

Nice job Phil.
That is good looking wood, what finish did you use?
Could you share a little about your process for cutting the stainless?
Darren
Tim, PVC is a breeze to cut, search the forum and give it a try. If you have any issues post here and you will get lots of help I'm sure.
Very nice Glen, your customer did a nice job finishing the sign.
( I was looking at the pic and tried to tilt on it's edge like I was using Asprie).........Doh.
Great job Scott! That is the kind of work I really admire.
I have a nice maple slab I've been wanting to use some of the wildlife scenes on, thanks for the inspiration.

I fell like I'm getting closer to the type of signs I would like to produce and think that each one is getting a wee bit better.
I'm still not 100% percent satisfied with the design and was...
Very nice indeed. Makes me want to do some prismatic letters.
Hmmmm, feeling a little inadequate........
Definitely inspiring.
Very nice, I like the rugged look.
Thanks Brady, I've got into the habit of ramping cuts in almost everything but HDU and PVC.
I have a dedicated foam bit from Belin I use to profile HDU, I will follow up with it after the Al bit.
Joe, you cannot promise us pictures and then say the camera crapped out.
We are like 8 year old boys waiting for Christmas morning.
We want pictures!
Did I mention we were spoiled 8 year...
Hi folks, I have customer that wants a logo and some lettering cut from aluminum faced foam.
I was wondering how any of you with experience cutting this product go about it.
I have cut 3" PVC...
I use LDF and a single Fien on a 4x8 table with 4 zones with no issues, of course ULDF sould allow more flow.
Joe let us know how you like the new Sign Foam. I am doing a quote for a job today that will take two 1.5" sheets.
The last sheet I bought was 1" 18lb and cost 365 with shipping.
Running the drilling tool path over again after you've put in the hold down screws really works well on 1/8" bits. The screw head seems to take great delight in breaking the last bit of a particular...
Thomas, nice work and perfect timing on your post, I was just going to post asking about UV resistance regarding using solid surface outdoors.
I've been asked to make a memorial marker and was...
Guys, I had the same thought this morning.
Kevin, how do you guys on The Rock install you sign posts, dynamite?;)
I'm actually interested, the area about 10 minutes north of my shop leading into the Haliburton Highlands is very rocky.

Mark, I like it! The deer looks as it would if you viewing it through a scope from a couple of hundred yards away. To me it looks better than a really vibrant print would.
Also the screws holding...
A very good 4 foot level and a digital inclinometer or a dial guage for the spindle.
As a reference you can go to plasticrouting.com and search each substrate by brand for a suitable bit.
You will need to order bits for the plastics to get the best results.
